The wait for My Life with the Walter Boys Season 2 is almost over, and all your questions about those tantalizing Season 1 cliff-hangers will be answered when the show returns to Netflix Aug. 28. Until then, watch the brand-new trailer above and scroll through some photos to tide you over and see what’s changed in the Walter household.

To recap: My Life with the Walter Boys took the world by storm when it premiered in the winter of 2023. In Season 1, 15-year-old Jackie (Nikki Rodriguez) is a fish out of water. After her parents and sister tragically die in a car crash, Jackie is sent to live with her mom’s friend Katherine (Sarah Rafferty), Katherine’s husband George (Marc Blucas), and their 10 sons in Silver Falls, Colorado, a far cry from New York City, where Jackie was born and bred. Jackie navigates her boisterous new home while grappling with grief and trying to get into Princeton University — and to make things even more complicated, she soon develops feelings for two of the brothers: Alex (Ashby Gentry) and Cole (Noah LaLonde).

The Season 1 finale found Jackie more uncertain than ever. At the eldest Walter sibling Will’s (Johnny Link) wedding to longtime girlfriend Hayley (Zoë Soul), which checklist-wielding Jackie helped to plan, Alex tells Jackie he loves her, but something prevents her from saying it back. Maybe it’s her late sister’s teapot she discovers Cole had repaired, a token of how much he cares for her. When Jackie confronts Cole about it after the wedding, the sparks that have been building all season fly, and they kiss. Fast forward to the next morning, and Jackie has fled back to New York, leaving the brothers only an “I’m sorry” note in her wake.

“Jackie’s trying to figure out where she belongs. She definitely doesn’t want to lose either side of herself and tries to make sure that they could coexist,” says Rodriguez of where we find her character at the start of Season 2. “Jackie, Alex, and Cole are figuring out who they are and what they want by allowing themselves to change,” adds Gentry.

Season 2 promises the same wholesome drama, but the characters have grown substantially since the first season. Director Jason Priestley (Beverly Hills, 90210) says, “Everyone’s a couple of years older, a little more sure of themselves, and have a little more confidence. They’re not afraid to try things and make choices,” he says. “Everybody was pretty nervous in that first season, but the way the public responded gave all of them a little boost of confidence, which is important when you’re an actor.”

Does Jackie leave her life in New York again to return to Silver Falls? And if so, which brother will she choose? You have to wait until Aug. 28 to find out! In the meantime, keep watching the trailer for the imminent season of My Life with the Walter Boys, which has also already been renewed for a Season 3 before Season 2 has even been released.
