Let’s Have A Ryan Reynolds Film Festival

From Red Notice to Green Lantern, here are all his movies streaming right now.

What defines a Ryan Reynolds performance? Is it his wry comedic timing? The almost illegal amount of charisma he projects on screen? The three-piece suits? More than likely, it’s a combination of all of the above, a potent witch’s brew of Hollywood fairy dust that makes this Canadian actor and producer one of our most compelling movie stars. Whether he’s gushing about the genius of Betty White in a documentary tribute to her life, trading bodies with Ben Kingsley in Self/Less or leading a pack of neon-clad vigilantes in 6 Underground, what defines his brand of star power is that you want to see how he tackles every role.

Red Notice is no exception. As international art thief Nolan Booth, Reynolds is at it again, this time alongside Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot, arguably the only other two actors on the planet who are as compulsively watchable as he is. So, when you’re done watching Deadpool trade barbs (and punches) with Luke Hobbs and Wonder Woman, why not keep going? Check out the repertoire of Ryan Reynolds movies streaming on Netflix.

The Adam Project

If you love Ryan Reynolds, just wait until you hear his signature sarcastic inflections come out of a 12-year-old’s mouth. As the younger version of Reynolds’ character Adam Reed, Walker Scobell nails the delivery of every single line in The Adam Project, so much so that watching them interact might make you question whether director Shawn Levy actually discovered the secret to time travel and used it for casting. The sci-fi dramedy follows adult Adam as he goes back in time to try to save the future, with significant help from his younger self.

Red Notice

At first glance, John Hartley (Johnson) and Nolan Booth (Reynolds) aren’t obvious allies. After all, one’s an FBI profiler and the other’s a world-renowned art thief. Still, the two face a common threat: The Bishop (Gadot), a con artist and thief who’s out to steal all three of Cleopatra’s priceless golden eggs and sell them to the highest bidder. When The Bishop frames Hartley for a crime he didn’t commit, he and Booth team up to take her down in a quest that will take them from the freezing depths of Siberia to the South American jungle, by way of Seville. Who says you can’t travel the world from the comfort of your couch?

6 Underground

“Ghosts have one power above all others: to haunt the living,” Reynolds’ billionaire vigilante tells the audience in a voiceover at the beginning of this Michael Bay thriller. He would know. As the founder and funder of an anonymous squad of deadly experts ready to take down bad guys, the man we know only as One has shed all ties to the living. He and his team — known only by their assigned numbers — exist only to one another, remaining on the margins of society in order to pass unnoticed toward their intended targets. You may not see them coming, but you’ll know when they’ve found you.
